Plant care
Most houseplants die from too much water, not too little. Check the soil with a finger before you water, and let it dry out more in winter.
Watering, step by step
- 1
Feel the soil
Push a finger in up to the first knuckle. If it is dry, water; if it is damp, wait.
- 2
Water through
Pour slowly until water runs out of the drainage hole.
- 3
Empty the saucer
Tip away standing water after ten minutes so the roots do not sit wet.
